Conditions Treated

Common reasons patients come in.

A general guide — if a concern isn't listed here, it's likely still within scope. Bring it up at consultation.

Procedures Offered

What a visit may involve.

01

Upper GI Endoscopy

Direct visual examination of the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum to diagnose reflux, ulcers and bleeding.

02

Colonoscopy

Full examination of the colon for screening, polyp removal and evaluation of bowel symptoms.

03

ERCP

Endoscopic treatment of bile duct and pancreatic duct conditions, including stone removal and stenting.

04

Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)

High-resolution imaging of the GI tract wall and adjacent organs, with fine-needle sampling when needed.

05

Variceal Banding & Glue Injection

Endoscopic band ligation for oesophageal varices and glue (cyanoacrylate) injection for gastric varices, to control and prevent variceal bleeding.

06

Fibroscan

A painless, ultrasound-based scan that measures liver stiffness and fat content — used to assess fibrosis and fatty liver without a biopsy.

07

Capsule Endoscopy

A swallowed camera capsule to examine the small intestine when standard endoscopy can't reach.

08

Esophageal Manometry

Measures the pressure and coordination of oesophageal muscle contractions to diagnose swallowing disorders and motility problems.

09

24-Hour pH Monitoring

Tracks acid reflux over a full day to confirm and quantify GERD, especially when symptoms are unclear or treatment-resistant.

"Most digestive symptoms have a clear, findable cause. The work is choosing the right test the first time — not the most tests."

Frequently Asked

Questions before a first visit.

Do I need a referral to consult Dr. Gupta?+
No referral is required. You can book directly by phone or WhatsApp, though bringing any prior reports, prescriptions or scans helps make the first consultation more productive.
What should I bring to my first appointment?+
Any previous blood tests, ultrasound or endoscopy reports, and a list of current medications. If you don't have these, that's fine — a fresh work-up can be arranged.
Do I need to fast before an endoscopy or colonoscopy?+
Yes — both procedures require preparation (fasting for an upper endoscopy, a bowel-prep regimen for a colonoscopy). Exact instructions are given once the procedure is scheduled, based on your health profile.
Are these procedures done under sedation?+
Most diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures are performed under sedation for comfort. This is discussed and tailored individually before the procedure.
I have abnormal liver function tests but no symptoms — should I still get evaluated?+
Yes. Liver disease is frequently silent in its early stages, which is exactly when it's most treatable. An abnormal LFT result is worth a proper evaluation even without symptoms.
How do I book a consultation?+
Call or WhatsApp +91 99712 30385, or write in at dranirudh@outlook.com.
